First up, our personal favorite breakfast drink!
Pumpkin Spice Green Protein Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 handful greens (think organic spinach, kale & chard)
½ cup organic pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie puree)
1 pitted date
¼ avocado (or 1 tbsp. fat of choice; i.e. nut butter or coconut oil)
¼ frozen banana
1-2 tsp superfood of choice (maca powder, lucuma powder, chia seeds, flax seeds, etc.)
½ tsp pumpkin spice
Cinnamon & nutmeg to taste
½ - ¾ cup water
1 handful of ice
Directions: Place the liquids and ice in the blender first. Then add the rest of the ingredients into the blender and blend until the smoothie is to your desired consistency. Add more water or ice as needed. Top your smoothie with pumpkin seeds or any other superfood that will bring a nice little crunch to your green drink!
