We humbly admit that Jazzercise classes can have some pretty epic effects on people – both physically and mentally. And yet, with back-to-school barely behind us and the holidays on the horizon, autumn can be a tough time to squeeze in a workout. Because time is precious and we all need to make the most of it, we asked instructor Kristi Pope to give us the lowdown on her favorite class formats for getting fit this fall.
“As an instructor, we get to be the party makers,” says Pope. She loves choosing the songs and routines that will bring the greatest results – and joy! – to her student customers. While Kristi loves teaching (and taking) all Jazzercise classes, we asked her to choose three to help us transform fast. Here’s what she said.
Interval Dance Mixx
This class gives you a great way to hit it hard four times and leave it on the dance floor. It’s like a fitness roller coaster ride where you peak and recover, peak and recover, peak and… you get the idea.
Strike
As a dance-based program there is dance in every Jazzercise routine. This class focuses on kick boxing moves that require high intensity and muscle control in every segment. Basically, this format integrates dance moves and kickboxing for a great workout, set to really fun music.
Flip Fusion
Our newest format helps you target one area at a time and get the most from each muscle group. Because it hones in on different areas of the body throughout the class, it brings the muscle confusion that keeps your metabolism high.
Kristi’s favorites are fun ways to keep your fitness momentum going through the fall. The key is to work hard and keep the party going.
See you in class!
Kristi Pope is a dancer who has been teaching Jazzercise for 10 years. A San Diego local, she found Jazzercise after the birth of her second child. It didn’t take long for her to sign on as an instructor.
